RETALIATION
Any person who assists another to enforce their rights under the Fair Housing Act is protected from adverse action. For example, your landlord cannot raise your rent just because you helped another tenant of the same building file a complaint against the landlord for violating the Fair Housing Act.

The Fair Housing Act, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disability Act each have provisions of law that specifically prohibits the retaliation described above.
