Assist attorneys with with immigration case load. Launched Andrade Legal’s community education outreach efforts around the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy and remains lead legal assistant in DACA filings. Manages a variety of case types including including U visas, faimly and employement based immigration applications, removal proceedings and illegal re-entry cases pending before U.S. District Courts.
Manages social media page, www.facebook.com/IdahoDreamers (AndradeLegal) and monitors community activities for office participation. Assists Ms. Andrade draft and edit articles relevant to immigrant population.
Ms. Jimenez has been working with Andrade Legal since July 2012. Ms. Jimenez was born in Los Angeles, California but raised in Nochistlan, a small town located in the state of Zacatecas in Mexico. After 10 years in Zacatecas, Ms. Jimenez moved to Idaho to continue her studies. As an undergraduate student, Gloria co-founded Movimiento Activista Social (MAS), a social justice organization that aims to educate, train and mobilize Latino/as in Idaho. Ms. Jimenez currently serves as the MAS Southern Idaho co-chair.
As a daughter of immigrants and having lived many years in Mexico, Ms. Jimenez brings a bi-national perspective to the firm and an understanding of difficulties overcome by immigrant families. She enjoys helping others realize thier immigration goals and the security it affords individuals and families.
Gloria is a 2012 graduate of University of Idaho where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis on Criminology; And an Associate’s degree in Spanish.
Ms. Jimenez likes spending her free time with her family, seeing movies, and writing.
