BACKGROUND

Laurie A. Dinius-Perez brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the business immigration practice area to the firm.  An associate since February 2014, Laurie’s practice focuses on the firm’s business immigration docket, but she also handles a variety of other immigration matters as well, including family-based immigration, waivers, naturalization and removal defense.

Laurie’s immigration expertise stems from more than thirteen years as a licensed attorney focusing exclusively on immigration law. Laurie developed her business immigration expertise with Berry Appleman & Leiden (San Francisco), one of the world’s leading corporate immigration practices, by concentrating on strategies for foreign labor certification application, complex foreign degree equivalency issues and all matters related to employment-based green card processing.

Laurie’s concentration in business immigration entailed providing immigration counsel to corporate clients ranging from Fortune 200 to smaller companies, covering industries such as IT, financial services and construction and engineering.

Prior to immersing herself in the world of high-volume corporate immigration law, Laurie worked in small boutique immigration firms in Boise-Nampa, Idaho, where she focused on providing business and family immigration solutions as well as removal defense. Working in small firm environments, Laurie learned to prepare cases capable of withstanding the highest levels of scrutiny and made regular appearances in U.S. Immigration Court and USCIS Local Offices.
